I was looking for a shampoo that is gentle and safe for daily use and I came across this regimen. I’m super conscious about the products that I use. Hair oils are amazing

Providing this review post using these oils for a little over 6 months now. I have coloured hair and obviously due to colouring my hair has damages. I started using the hair oils post a brief consultation with the doctor. Have tried to be consistent in applying 3 times a week or atleast 2 times a week. I had severe hairfall and hair thinning because of postpartum hairfall. I was at my wit ends having tried different things to help my hair grow. I came across ayushoveda 2 scalp oils and thought of giving it a shot given that it is completely ayurvedic and formulated by Dr.Nambi himself. After first 2 washes my hairfall reduced a lot. In my experience, an unhealthy scalp has two components

  • Clogging of hair follicles

  • Weak roots

First reaction to clogging is to use heavy foaming shampoos. Be patient. I’ll tell you why that is a bad idea.

Visible : Most common clogger is dandruff. Pollution and dust can cause grime which blocks the hair follicles - preventing nutrition absorbtion. 

Invisible : There are multiple studies that talk about scalp build-up or residue left by the chemical bases of hair care products. Many of the ‘so-called’ Ayurvedic shampoos and conditioners are actually extracts infused into chemical bases. Residue is invisible because they are so small, but large enough to clog follicles. 

So, is using heavy foaming shampoos to remove the clogging a good idea?

In my experience, an unhealthy scalp has two components

  • Clogging of hair follicles

  • Weak roots

Invisible : There are multiple studies that talk about scalp build-up or residue left by the chemical bases of hair care products. Many of the ‘so-called’ Ayurvedic shampoos and conditioners are actually extracts infused into chemical bases. Residue is invisible because they are so small, but large enough to clog follicles. 

So, is using heavy foaming shampoos to remove the clogging a good idea?

In my experience, an unhealthy scalp has two components

  • Clogging of hair follicles

  • Weak roots

  • 80% reported that hair fall has reduced and 48% said reduced a lot.

  • 85% reported that hair quality has improved and 50% said improved a lot.
